THE 29TH STREET COMMUNITY CENTER'S 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!

by 29th Street Community Center

Our whole community is coming together to celebrate 5 years of Quality Programming at The 29th Street Community Center! Be a part in sustaining positive programming for all ages!

The 29th Street Community Center’s 5th Birthday Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 1:00-3:30PM at The 29SCC (300 E. 29th Street). Come join us for cake, community, program demonstrations and FUN for ages 5 to 105! See the amazing programs and people who help continue to make this place a great resource for the community and its surrounding areas.

After being shut down in 2011, the then Barclay Recreation center was restored and reopened in 2013 by non-profit Strong City Baltimore and was renamed the 29th Street Community Center. Five years later, we are still able to produce quality and affordable programming for all ages in order to build a strong and safe community.

All funds raised support The Center’s high-quality, low-cost, and free daily programming for more than 400 public school students, local families, and neighborhood residents in Baltimore City. A formerly deserted space now brims with activity including a Drop-In Afterschool program, variety of dance classes, reading club, open gym basketball, Zumba classes, a jump roping team, the Gertrude S. Williams speaker series, the Dream Nation Marching Unit, Alcoholics Anonymous, community meetings, Cease Fire Weekends, and so much more!

Give the gift of programming for all! Donate to the 29th Street Community Center today and touch the lives of each person who walks through our doors.
